School Horses
At EMLEC we are very proud of our safe, quiet, quality school horses. The trainers at EMLEC regularly ride and work with all of the school horses to be sure they
continue to be easy to ride, safe, reliable school masters for our students. We have several horses on staff to be sure that no single horse is over-used. None of our
horses are used more than twice in a day, and get at least 2 days off a week. All of our horses are sound and are regularly vet checked to be sure they are healthy.
Some of our horses are available for lease and for use at the shows to students in our lesson program. Please contact us for information on leasing. (Please click

Darado is a very experienced school master.
In his day, he was Champion in the Youth
Arabian World Show. He likes to do tricks for
treats, and sticks his tongue out at his riders.
Zipper was a world Champion Western Pleasure
horse. He is registered with AQHA, and spends
his days teaching beginners the basics in English
riding. He likes to greet you with his ears back,
but that's just his friendly way of saying hello.
Brando is one of our younger schoolhorses. At 5
years old, he is a great mount for kids wanting to
jump courses. He is an excellent equitation horse,
and is very easy to ride. He has a very mellow
personality, but loves to play with kids. He and his
rider won their first Medal class together.
Pepper is the youngest of our school horses. At 3
years old she is wise beyond her years. She is
extremely quiet, and is very well schooled for a
young mare. She is nice mover, and loves to go to
the shows. She has a very bright future as a school
master as she continues her training.
Ziggy is one of our more advanced school horses.
She is reserved for our advanced small riders, as
she is currently showing and needs to keep her
focus. She is a very fancy show pony that is always
a favorite of the judges. She is currently owned by
Brie Berta.
Corky is our longe-line master. She does not attend
shows, as that is just not her thing! She is a very
sweet mare with maternal instincts. She takes very
good care of her beginner riders, and will always
stop when she feels a rider is unbalanced. She is
very comfortable to ride, which makes her a favorite
among our beginners.
William, a registered Oldenburg Warmblood, is a
wonderful horse with an "in your pocket" personality.
He is very quiet and safe. He is a very big horse,
and is a great school master for adults of all ages
and levels. A very lazy boy, be prepared for a
workout. He is currently for sale. If interested, you
can find out more on our sale page.
JJ is a great little paint pony. He is a great school
horse for more advanced young riders looking to
have fun jumping. He is currently for sale. If
interested, you can find out more on our sale page.
Major, registered Overo Paint, is a super sweet
young gelding. He loves attention and trail rides.
He's young, but is one of the most quiet horses in
the barn, but can't seem to stay out of trouble in the
pasture. He is owned and shown by Brie Berta, and
is not available for lease.
Carrera, a registered Thoroughbred mare, came to
us from the racetrack. She's a beautiful, very sweet,
large mare. Extremely athletic, she makes a great
schoolmaster for advanced kids and adults. She is
quiet with a little energy, but that's what makes her
such a blast to ride.
